Fish Pond

I just wanted to show our backyard fish pond. The first photo was taken when it was first built. The second is what it looks like now 5 years later. We have 5 goldfish and many mosquito fish living there. I love having a pond and would recommend everyone have one.

crocheted Wasp, Hornet nest

I made this crocheted wasp nest last summer as a decoy. It's supposed to keep the real wasps and hornets from building a nest near your house.
I believe it really worked. I have a small fish pond just off the patio where alot of wasps and hornets visit. Before putting up this nest I was always finding the beginnings of real nests being built. Since putting up the fake nest they just seem to land on the water for a drink then fly off in my neighbors direction.
